Shooting a Comedy in Japan with a Canon 5D and a 7D

I’m just back from shooting in Japan a short fiction called “Igor in Japan”, where Igor is a donkey. It’s a comedy we shot during one week near the village of Komoro, in the Nagano district.

Since it seemed difficult for the production company to rent specific lights and cameras in Japan, we had to bring everything with us from Europe. It had to comply with in-flight weight and measurements regulations, so we opted for the Canon 5D Mark II and the 7D, customized with Marshall monitors and two Chrosziel Follow Focus Systems.
