Manta Rays at Risk

I just finished this personal project called “Manta Rays at Risk” using photos I took during my holidays in Maldives and Hawaii. The final movie is in 4k and you can download it on vimeo. Mantas have been classified as Vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). They are at particular risk to overfishing because they produce very few young. Many populations have already been depleted by unregulated fishing. I decided to do a short animated film with the help of my friend José using the Project Aware Infographics. My goal is to create awareness on this matter and share this information in a different way. I hope you’ll like the movie and please feel free to share it. Thanks!

Carefully crafted from a selected alloy of aircraft grade aluminum and premium grade of stainless steel, the housing is machined on the latest 5 axis computer assisted machines. It is then protected by anodizing to North American military specification for further protection, Aquatica provides corrosion inhibiting zinc anodes as standard equipment and coats their housing with a baked on, tough as nail, powder coating. This extra level of protection does make a huge difference as can be seen on some Aquatica housings that even with over 1,500 dive on them, still look as fresh as the day they came out of the box. This housing is made for the hard working professional in mind, one who truly understands reliability in the field.

Underwater Fashion Photographer Mallory Morrison

This is an interesting Behind the Scenes produced by [FRAMED]. Learning studio strobes and studio techniques are a challenging and fun process….now imagine adding water. Holding your breath, not being able to communicate to your model, etc. Mallory Morrison started as a dancer and took those artistic skills as a trained photographer and dancer to the water. Today, Mallory takes us underwater to shoot a fashion spread for Live Orange County Magazine.
