Cameraman: Hi Yannick, tell us a bit more about yourself and what do you do?
Yannick: Hi. My name is Yannick Barthe. I’m 30 and was born and live in Switzerland. I studied Engineering Sciences in Electronics and Multimedia. I’ve got three jobs. During the week, I’m a quality manager in an Electronic Manufacturing company in Delémont (Switzerland). The rest of the time (including nights and weekends) I’m a cameraman and aerial photographer. In 2004, my brother and I created Aeromedia-concept. Together we developed a revolutionary system mounting a DSLR camera on a radio controlled helicopter specially designed and built for aerial photography. Customers include architects and other private clients. In 2008 we added thermal imaging capability using a special infrared camera. And finally, I’m a freelancer cameraman, editor and videomaker filming aircraft, helicopter and glider on airshows around Europe. I’ve been working for 5 years in the field of aviation.
In 2009 I met the firedancer Franziska Neuhaus. Together we discover and create movement and dance videos such as fire dance, flag dance by day and by night, recording in Switzerland or Spain. Today we are partners in life as well as in work. She also helps me a lot during my filming works.

My new website Yannickbarthe.ch and my presence on vimeo give me a lot of contacts and new projects. I can’t live on my cameraman and photographer works yet, but I hope that one day…
